An Incredible Vietnam Adventure with Buffalo Tours

Picture10Buffalo Tours is Vietnam’s leading destination management company and offers services such as flights, accommodation, tours and more!

Not only is this company a complete expert in Vietnam and other destinations, but they go out of their way to give clients the most personalised experience. I received this treatment on my recent visit to Vietnam.

I had organised my itinerary through Buffalo Tours and the experience was absolutely fantastic. From my dealings with Lien, who organised our entire itinerary right to the end of our trip, where every guide was friendly, punctual and very informative (we asked a lot of questions).

Upon arrival at Hanoi airport, we were met by Kien (our guide for Hanoi) holding a big bunch of beautiful flowers for us. It was definitely a personal welcome and made us feel very special.

The next day we were picked up right on schedule for our trip to Halong Bay. Not only did we have a  private transfer, but upon arrival into the bay we even had our own junk boat. Once we stepped on board we were treated to private seafood and wine buffet.

Our next destination was Hue, where we spent 2 nights at the majestic Imperial Hotel Hue.  It was a really impressive hotel with amazing views. The following morning, we met the gorgeous Ms Lan (another of Buffalo’s Tour Guides) who accompanied us to the Kings Tombs and the Imperial Palace. This was such an amazing experience and Ms Lan knew so much about every place we visited. We stopped and had a beautiful seafood lunch then ended the day with a relaxing Dragon Boat ride on the Perfume River.

Hoi An, was one of my favourite places and staying at the Hoi An Beach Resort was a dream. We didn’t have a tour guide here but we did partake in a Market and Cooking Tour. We started the day exploring the big market right in the middle of Hoi An. It was hot, smelly and busy but so cool.

At midday we hopped aboard our boat transfer and got taken to a small island, where we learnt how to make 3 Vietnamese dishes. Our chef had a great sense of humour and after we were finished, we had one of our delicious dishes served in a pineapple

Our last destination was Ho Chi Minh. We arrived at this big buzzing city and checked in at the Grand Saigon. This hotel was beautiful. It was located right in the centre of the city and the lobby was very classy.

Our last Buffalo Tour Guide was one of my favourites, Laki. The first day we spent with him was floating on the exotic Mekong Delta. This was also one of my highlights. Laki was very friendly, cheeky and fun to be around. We visited a place where rice, sweets and the famous snake wine was created before getting back on the river.

Right in the middle of the Mekong Delta, we were taken to a small village, where a traditional Vietnamese musical was performed. These people sang and danced for us, while a fresh platter of fruit was put on our table. It was a very cultural experience.

Before our day was over, we stopped in at a seafood restaurant for lunch. The food was delicious but the biggest surprise was the 20 kilo python that Laki decided to get out of the cage. This was how I crossed holding a python off my bucket list.

On our last day in Ho Chi Minh, we met Laki in the foyer and were taken to the Chu Chi Tunnels, where we spent half the day exploring the old battle sites and learning all about the tunnels and the history behind them. Laki knew exactly what he was talking about and at one stage even explained to others the story of the tunnels.

Before we knew it, we were saying farewell to Laki and boarding the plane for our next adventure. Our time in Vietnam was amazing and our experience with Buffalo Tours was fantastic. Because of our tour guides, we were leaving with a lot more knowledge of Vietnams culture and history. I would recommend Buffalo Tours to anyone.
